Attack! Attack! Made TWO blogs today about Austin Carlile. If anyone still cares, you can read excerpts below. One has been taken down, but the second on is still viewable HERE.

Boys and Girls,

We are here to speak to the new rumor that Austin is back in AA!.

I would first prefer to point out that it would be the coldest day in hell for him to obtain back in our band.

To clear this whole thing up, we’ll start with the history.

Someday Came Suddenly –

We recorded SCS with Joey Sturgis in July of 2008 WITH Austin doing vocals.

September 11th, 2008 –

We left Ohio with Austin in the band to go on our first tour ever, the Rise Records tour.

(3) Three weeks later, we left him in a black parking lot in Salt Lake City, Utah. He sat there and cried like a little miss while we drove away from him.

FACTS-

Austin would repeatedly claim that we were a “Christian” band on stage WHILE BEING COMPLETELY DRUNK AND CONTINUING TO DRINK ON STAGE.

He abused his prescription medications, drank heavily, and slept with anything that crossed his path. He is an egotistical maniac, and an arrogant jerk.

We gave him everything. We gave him a family, our homes, our money,

More time doesn’t necessarily express less stress for Adam, though, given that his capacity for overthinking can have the potential to do as much ruin to his art as his morale. Ask him, for example, whether the unhurried conditions making Songs Of Loss And Separation were good or poor for the creative process and his uneasy snicker suggests the topic has been on his thought of late. “It’s mostly negative. The one positive is that there’s absolutely zero stress and expectation when you have no timeline at all, but the negatives are incredible! I had way too much time to pound up the mix and the production of [this album] and I nearly overdid it. When you spend a finite amount of time on something, it feels more ardent and means you move with your gut nature rather than being so critical of yourself. I’m so guilty of doing that with every undertaking. The best records I’ve ever done have been two months [to make] or less, production-wise.”

Despite Adam’s reservations about long direct times, there’s something undeniably fascinating about how Times Of Grace’s albums tackle the fears and frustrations of its creators, made at 10-year intervals, to chart how those authors – and what keeps th

Languid A Paranoid Wretch in Society’s Games LP

If D-beat was an Olympic sport, it would probably be diving—like diving, to the unversed, it beautiful much always sounds and looks the same. Only self-proclaimed experts can actually tell the brilliant gentle from the mediocre one, and everyone can notice a really botched dive just as well as an excruciatingly boring D-beat band. And if D-beat was an Olympic discipline (it won’t be until 2032), then LANGUID would possibly win a gold medal. This Edmonton band has been going since 2015 and has delivered quality orthodox D-beat ever since, but their recent album A Paranoid Wretch in Society’s Game (a very COVID-compatible title) takes them to new heights. D-beat is a subgenre based on strict expectations, and LANGUID knows the game well and totally meets it with a heavy production, perfect Swedish D-beat riffs, some groovy bass lines, a very pure version of the beat on the drums, and shouted vocals with the compulsory scansion, flow, and accentuation. LANGUID belongs to the Swedish branch of the loving D-beat family and clearly aims at emulating DISFEAR (A Brutal Sig
