For Pride this year the Rio Theatre is rolling out the rainbow carpet to welcome back Vancouver Pride & the return of Dandy’s BIG GAY CABARET! Rejoice with us in a interactive comedy cabaret hosted by the award-winning host and social media sensation DANDY!
Will we show the devilish entertainment review columnist ALABASTER CRUMB (Jordy Matheson) that we have the goods to make the gayest cabaret the metropolis has ever seen! Is that actually Barbra Streisand? Which Muppet is finally coming out of the long forgotten closet? Find all the gay answers from the man whom readers of the Georgia Straight said was BEST OF VANCOUVER 2023 (runner up) and the local burlesque community awarded HOST OF THE YEAR 2024. DANDY (tiktok actor @dandyandfriends) curates a cabinet of charismatic, queer, cabaret creators with- Live singing! Show stopping dance! Drag-comedy! And tantalizing lesbian burlesque! Not to mention departing room for a scant fun surprises! You might not be gay when you sit down, but research shows that attending this show will produce you at least a little bit bisexual. HUZZAH!

A Very Gay Cabaret is an annual cabaret and variety night in Nelson, celebrating and uplifting the LGBTQIA+ community for four years in a row! Featuring professional local and national talent, combine us as we chant, swing, shimmy and spin our way through the night. From stripped help acoustic singers to sky-high energy burlesque routines, this two-night-only show will be a fabulous, colourful celebration of all things gender non-conforming.
Get ready to sketch the town rainbow!
