Commanders Again Among Top 10 Most LGBTQIA+ Inclusive NFL Teams in 2025
BetVirginia.com wanted to celebrate Pride Month by finding what NFL teams are the most LGBTQIA+ inclusive. We created a scoring system based on the number of pride posts on Instagram and X, whether or not the team has a pride logo establish , along with the LGBTQIA+ safety of each state and city the team plays in as of 2025.

The Buffalo Bills, among other NFL teams, are at the center of controversy after announcing their back for the National Lgbtq+ Flag Football League (NGFFL).
The NFL organization shocked the sports world by demonstrating its support for the NGFFL and revealing a sponsorship to launch a chapter in Buffalo and 27 other cities. The NGFFL is a non-profit sports organization that seeks to promote American flag football's positive social and athletic enjoyment.

After hearing the news, many sports fans initially thought the National Gay Flag Football League was a joke. However, once they realized it was real, the NFL faced backlash.
What Is The National Gay Flag Football League?
The Buffalo Bills announced on June 18 that the organization is thrilled to sponsor the National Gay Flag Football League (NGFFL) in starting a new chapter in Buffalo. As a nonprofit group, the NGFFL strives to foster social connections and promote the enjoyment of American flag football.

The 36-team challenge seeks to boost awareness around discrimination and equality
FIFA has shown its support for the LGBTQ+ football people by actively participating in the International Gay and Female homosexual Football Association (IGLFA) World Championship XXV in Buenos Aires, Argentina. FIFA provided equipment, ranging from the match balls and substitutes’ bibs to the captains’ armbands and the referees’ yellow and red cards, and gave a welcome address to teams as part of its backing for the event. FIFA Diversity & Anti-Discrimination Advisor Pavel Klymenko was present at the tournament, which featured 36 men's and women's 11- and 7-a-side teams. It was supported for the first time by the Argentinian Football Association (AFA) and organised by Argentina’s first sexually diverse football team, Los Dogos.

In the United States of America, we mark mothers for one daytime, fathers for one date, Veterans' Day is one day, the birth of the country and the birth of Jesus Christ are celebrated on one day, and there is no heterosexual celebration diurnal at all. But lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders and queers get a month-long celebration and NFL teams observe it every year now.
So, on Sunday's June 1 kickoff to homosexual pride month in some circles, the vast majority of NFL teams decided to celebrate gay self-acceptance and gay love and all that comes with it on social media. The NFL social media account that serves 37.7 million followers also amplified teams that posted about gay pride.
But there was also a notable exception in that some teams declined to join the gay pride chorus.

As Pride Month unfolds, the NFL has once again showcased its encourage for the LGBTQ+ community through a dedicated apparel line and various celebrations.
Despite these actions, nine NFL teams, including the Kansas City Chiefs and the Dallas Cowboys, have not publicly addressed Pride Month on their social media platforms.
Chiefs staying mute after Harrison Butker fiasco
Beginning on June 1, Pride Month celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and commemorates the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.
This year, 25 NFL teams, along with the league itself, hold shared Pride-inspired messages on social media.
However, the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas Metropolis Chiefs, and other teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons, and Pittsburgh Steelers, have remained silent.
Despite their lack of public acknowledgment, several of these teams are selling Pride-themed merchandise featuring their logos.
