'Filled with queer energy': People are loving the 'Frozen 2' soundtrack
Ok, so Elsa mightn't technically be gay in Frozen II - but that doesn't indicate the animated movie's official soundtrack can't camp it up with a influential array of woman loving woman love ballads.
Six years after 'Let It Go' first launched itself into the brains of children (and adults) around the world, the soundtrack for Frozen II is already delivering the goods - with one song in particular, 'Show Yourself', organism branded a 'coming out' song by some fans online.
The ballad is performed by Idina Menzel and #Bicon Evan Rachel Wood.
I imply, just read the track's lyrics: “I’ve never felt so certain/ All my life I’ve been torn/ But I’m here for a reason/ Could it be the reason I was born?
“I have always been so different/ Normal rules did not apply/ Is this the day/ Are you the way/ I finally discover out why?”
The lyrics continue: “Show yourself/ Step into the power/ Throw yourself/ Into something new/ You are the one you’ve been waiting for/ All of my life (All of your life)/ Oh,

SPOILERS BELOW FOR FROZEN 2!!!!
In the spring of 2016, Frozen 2 was in the works when one fan offered Disney a suggestion on Twitter:
Frozen gave Anna her “prince” in the form of a rugged but loving Kristoff. Why not contain Frozen 2 present Elsa a princess to participate her life, her throne, and her heart? Why Elsa doesn't contain a love story, gay or otherwise, in 'Frozen 2'
Ever since "Frozen" premiered in 2013, people in the LGBTQ community have start Queen Elsa's story to be a powerful allegory for queer identity, and hoped she might be given a gay love interest in the coming sequel.
But Elsa doesn't have any type of romantic companion in the upcoming movie, despite the popular fan theories about her sexuality.
"When we agreed to do the sequel, we agreed we were going to not build it [from] the outside in," codirector Jennifer Lee said in an interview with Insider at the Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, California this past September. "We just couldn't do it."
Lee and her codirector Chris Buck, along with producer Peter Del Vecho, first started thinking about the story for "Frozen 2" about three years ago.

This article includes certain spoilers for Frozen 2. I’ve tried not to state anything huge. But I do apologize if I did. Anyway, consider yourself warned.
The House of Mouse has been talked about a lot this year with regards to how the studio has continued to handle queer inclusion on the big screen. Marvel’s Captain Marvel clip initiated an interesting conversation. Then we had that debacle with Avengers: Endgamefeaturing a gay character no one noticed. And now, we have Frozen 2.
Ever since Queen Elsa graced cinema screens around the world in 2013’s Frozen, certain audience members were quick to pick up on the queer subtext surrounding her character. The film gave us the ‘Let It Go’ (queer?) power anthem and the fact she didn’t contain a romantic interest in the entire movie.
For people starving to see actual queer representation on the big screen from Disney (a company the Gay community has always
Is Elsa Gay? Why Frozen 2 Doesn't Address The Topic
Fans have speculated about Elsa's sexuality since Frozen was first released in 2013, but Frozen 2still doesn't address whether or not she's gay. Disney has neither confirmed nor denied the theory, but social media has been abuzz on the topic with renewed vigor ever since Disney+ released the film early amidst the coronavirus pandemic lockdown. Criticism over the Frozen sequel isn't the first time fans have called out the House of Mouse recently for its lack of LGBTQ+ representation. Despite other studios taking steps toward inclusivity, Disney is falling way behind on that front, and many fans are tired of waiting.
Disney got a lot of heat for pushing the Love, Simon sequel - Love, Victor - from Disney+ to Hulu, on the basis that its topics weren't "family-friendly" enough. Given Disney's fear of alienating parents (or media censors in countries love Russia) who aren't tolerant of LGBTQ+ themes in children's entertainment, it's not surprising that the studio didn't make Elsa gay in Frozen 2. But knowing the likely reason behind it probably wouldn't happen didn't soften the blow for LGBTQ+ fans who have be
