Oaken is even worse since, unlike Ryder, he is a very recurring traits in the Frozenverse, with an interview with Jennifer Lee even being quite ambiguous about his sexual orientation. And after all these years, a guide is released focusing on Kristoff's childhood and Oaken, who during all these years never officially had anything other than a large family of relatives, now has a wife and kids. And if this scene in "Frozen 1" is of his wife with his kids, they'll have to erase one child from the photo and the blond guy because he only has one couple of kids.

I also kind of desire it had just been allowed to happen instead of being announced. As it is still a fairy tale movie appropriate for young audiences as well as old, I'm sure whatever the massive "moment" is, it's not going to be very, um, graphic, or anything, lol. And I'm also sure that it won't matter one way or another to a immense majority of the audience. There was a beautiful obviously gay character in Frozen, too (Oaken), and look at what a blockbuster that was.
As a child of the 80s/90s who was obsessed with all the Disney Renaissance movies as they were first introduced, I was pretty skeptical about this remake (to quote Cogsworth in the original, "if it's not Baroque, don't fix it!"). However, I couldn't help getting caught up in the hype that hSo, how gay is Disney’s Frozen?
I’m not surprised that it’s such a giant hit. I am a little surprised at the sustained effort of Christian fans to spin Frozen as some sort of Christian allegory (more on this in an upcoming post).
For now, though, I wish to address something I noted in passing in my review: the interrogate of gay-culture themes in Frozen.
In my review I mentioned this issue (also noted in positive reviews by other critics) largely to dismiss it as a point of concern — not that I wasn’t aware of the themes in scrutinize, so much as that I didn’t think they warranted getting upset over. However, a signal I overlooked earlier has just been brought to my attention that I think does warrant mention.
First, let’s acquire the broad themes out on the table.
